Zoo Mommy and the Proactive
Pet Sitters Association join forces starting April 1, 2008 to
ensure that we are doing all we can to protect our planet and all of
its pets. Joining the Association requires that we agree, as a company
and as individuals, to the following:
- I will do what I can to become more
environmentally conscious and institute environmentally friendly
practices into my daily pet sitting duties by reducing waste,
pollutants and toxins, by conserving natural resources, and by reusing
materials where/
whenever possible.
- I will do what I can to support animal
welfare organizations in my community through raising shelter
awareness, volunteering my time, fundraising, etc.
- I will educate myself, and in turn my
clients, friends and family about responsible, caring and healthful pet
guardianship.
- I will educate myself, and in turn other
pet care providers in the
matter of responsible, loving and healthful pet care.
- I will support spay and neuter practices
and promote adoption over breeding.
It's no mystery that to guard the life on
this planet we must also take care of the planet itself. Our hope is
that by educating ourselves and the pet owners with whom we work, we
will make a small but meaningful contribution to the movement for a
better, healthier world for pets everywhere.
